ARAMCO’s Summer Graduate Internship Program is an enriching experience where students work alongside experienced professionals. The program is renowned for its ability to foster both technical and personal development, offering participants a chance to gain hands-on experience in their field.
One standout experience was provided by Maria Ardila Sanchez who joined the Geology Technology Division at the EXPEC Advanced Research Center to work on the geological aspect of in-house software and run process-based modeling using advanced calibration parameters. Maria engaged in advanced geological modeling, focusing on a 3D geological model for a Paleozoic interval in central Saudi Arabia. Her project involved integrating data from seismic surveys, wireline logs, and geochemical proxies to build a comprehensive model.
Reflecting on the experience, Maria noted, "Given the strong alignment of my internship project with my PhD research at KAUST, this experience helped me become more confident in applying methodologies and software skills. Overall, my experience was enriching, providing profound insights into the energy sector while developing my professional and personal skills."
ARAMCO’s Summer Graduate Internship Program continues to be a valuable platform for students to advance their expertise and gain a deeper understanding of the energy industry, setting them up for future success in their careers.
